Hello
Paying It Forward.

Answering the Call.
The first time I stepped into a counselor's office, I was a college student taking psychology classes. I shared my experiences with the counselor, and understood that I was not alone. There was a tug in my heart and soul. I would pay it forward one day, and become one myself. And I did.

Traditional Psychotherapy and Evidence Based Skills Treatment
My work is informed by an appreciation and understanding of cognitive neuroscience, biochemical processes, philosophy, research, and the role that nourishment, environment, relationships, culture, values, a sense of mastery, creativity, and nature have in the well being of a person. There is substantial evidence in scholarly literature that psychotherapy helps people understand and integrate their temperament, cognitive abilities, and responses to the environment, as they move toward effective problem solving, improvement, quality of life, and finding peace in their lives. As clients develop insights and skills, positive changes follow to promote sustained success in navigating life's challenges.

Clients interested in Psychotherapy with Evidence Based Skills Treatment can choose how much they would like to integrate their talk therapy and/or unique needs for skills development into their psychotherapy sessions.

Christian Informed and Catholic Psychotherapy
Research points to the integral role that spirituality can have in the psychological well being of humans. As a returning practicing Catholic and psychotherapist I have come to appreciate how, for Christian and Christian-curious clients, Christianity and the mission of Jesus Christ can harmonize with the tried and true psychotherapeutic components of compassion, connection and validation; which are essential to working through emotional pain and making effective change during the process. Within this space, clients develop a sense of purpose, direction, balance, and sustaining hope as they engage in the work to find peace in their lives.

Clients interested in a Christian informed approach or a Catholic Psychotherapy approach can choose how much they would like to integrate their spirituality and/or unique faith walk into their psychotherapy sessions.
